Fences, Dog Kennels, Puppy Houses and Other Projects: Contracting Blogs

Hello! My name is C.J., and as you may have guessed from the title of my blog, I am a huge dog lover. My dog has specialised things in my home like a built-in shelf for his food and water bowls and a dedicated grooming area with a bath. Outside, he has his own shady area, a dog house with a heated floor and a sturdy fence. I worked with contractors through all of those projects, and I hope to do even more. This blog is going to talk about contracting... I hope to start with some posts about the process involved in some of the things the contractor made for my pup but I also plan to include some posts with a more general contracting focus. Take a look and enjoy!

Why Sellers Should Invest In Building Inspection Services

Irene Little

Typically, building inspections are associated with individuals looking to invest in a property. By enlisting building inspection services, the potential buyers get a chance to determine whether the property they are buying is afflicted with structural damages, pest infestations and more. A thorough building inspection will enable a potential buyer to make an informed decision on whether the property they are investing in is worth the money. However, this does not mean that building inspections are only beneficial to potential buyers. If you are looking to put your property on the real estate market, you should also consider enlisting these services. Here are some of the reasons why sellers should invest in building inspection services.

A building inspection gives you control over the negotiation process

In the event that there are any hidden flaws in your property that you are unaware of, it would not be in your best interests to have your potential buyer's building inspection uncover them for you. Instead, you should strive to ensure that you know the ins and outs of your property before you put it on the real estate market. By enlisting building inspection services, you get the chance to learn of any structural defects beforehand. This gives you the opportunity to have them fixed before you start showing the property to potential buyers.

The building inspection will then ensure that you stay in control of both the negotiation process as well as the sale of your property. Firstly, there will be no surprises that would affect the overall price of your property. Secondly, you will avoid having to mark down the price of your property in the event that a potential buyer decides to engage in repairs on their own.

A building inspection can enhance the value of your home

Another reason to consider investing in a building inspection is that it gives you a financial advantage. Once you have conducted a building inspection and your property passes the inspection, you will receive an inspection certificate. This certificate will include a report on your property that would indicate various things such as your property being pest free, your plumbing being up to code, and your electrical system in good condition and so on.

You can then use this certificate too leverage your home above the completion in the real estate market. With a positive inspection certificate, you get the chance to fetch a higher price for your property as well as attract more potential buyers.
